'Seuss's Sister' is an excellent dwarf compact Japanese maple with a dense upright form. The small green leaves emerge showing nearly no variegation. As the leaves mature in late spring to early summer, a faint creamy green variegation appears. While the variegation is subtle, it is quite a pleasant surprise and will leave you with a bit of awe and wonder. 'Seuss's Sister' can reach up to 4-6 ft in height in by 2-4 ft wide in 15 years. Fall color is a bright red to deep maroon. This tree is excellent for small spaces, patio containers, or conifer beds.  While this dwarf selection can be a beautiful background plant, we recommend planting this dwarf near walkways so you can truly appreciate this beauty daily. 'Seuss's Sister' was originated a sister seedling to the cultivar 'Dr. Seuss' at Buchholz and Buchholz Nursery in Oregon.
