'Marjan' is a hardy red Japanese maple introduced by our friend Dick van der Maat in Holland. In the early spring 'Marjan' is a bright red, turning deep burgundy as the leaves mature. During the summer the leaves have a pleasant emerald green hue in the red leaves. Â Fall color on 'Marjan' is a much brighter red. 'Marjan' is an exceptional grower performing well in the heat, cold, and wind. 'Marjan' is expected to reach 12-15 ft in 20 years.
