'Ed Stephens’ is a gorgeous deciduous azalea. This azalea attracts butterflies with its full fiery red-orange truss that blooms around April to late May. ‘Ed Stephens’ reaches a 4-6 ft height and spreads roughly 4 ft in width in 10 years. ‘Ed Stephens’ does best when in partial shade. ‘Ed Stephens’ is a great addition to any landscape. Introduced by Earl Sommerville and named after ‘Ed Stephens’ who gifted the azalea to him in the mid-90s.
