'Wredei’ is an upright Golden elm that makes a statement in the landscape. It has a narrow habit an a young age, getting wider with age. ‘Wredei’ may reach 12 ft in height by 6 ft in width in 15 years. ‘Wredei’ was found as a Golden sport on Ulmus ‘Dampieri’ at Alt-Geltow Arboretum in Germany. It has also been known as ‘Dampieri Aurea’.
